Foreign Minister Joao Gomes Cravinho denied on Sunday that he had done business with a partner convicted of tax fraud.
In a statement sent cm, João Gomes Cravinho mentions that António da Silva Barão “is not and never was” his partner in the Eurolocarno company, “but rather the person from whom the company was bought in 2015”. He also mentions that the company has “never had a problem with justice since its legal and fiscal situation has been settled.”
“Minister João Gomes Cravinho has always declared to the Constitutional Court in the various declarations submitted about his participation in said company – a minority stake worth 1,000 euros, 20% of the share capital – with current tax liabilities”, he also refers to the communiqué issued in response to the news published this Sunday by TVI.
