Paulo Pisco, member of the PS National Commission and President of the Subcommittee on Diaspora of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, has once again become the candidate of the Socialist Party (PS).
This is the “heavyweight” in the field of emigration, whom the PS is once again calling on in these legislative elections.
Changes in the PSD – the previous head of the list was Malo de Abreu, who was now announced in the lists of Chegi, but was later withdrawn – with a candidate who had already been elected by this circle: Carlos Alberto Gonçalves.
Vice-President of the Committee for Foreign Affairs and the Portuguese Communities of the XIV Legislative Assembly, this Social Democrat served as Secretary of State for the Affairs of the Portuguese Communities in the XVI Constitutional Government.
For the European circuit, Chega suggests Jose Diaz Fernandes at the top of the list, while IL presents João Cotrima Figueiredo.
Heading the CDU list in this circle are Joana Carvalho and Rita Nobrega from the Bloc de Esquerda.
PAN chose Paulo Vieira de Castro and Livre chose Thiago Correia.
There are 937,185 registered voters in this constituency in Europe.
In the last elections, held in 2022, the PS elected Paula Pisco and Natalia de Oliveira from Europe.
