Braga began pre-season work this Friday, with new coach Daniel Sousa counting on three additions and Andre Horta, a player loaned to Olympiacos.
Daniel Souza did not hide his “great anxiety” on the first day: “What I want most is to work. The opportunity to enjoy training, playing and, of course, getting to know the players.”
The first official game is scheduled for July 25 (2nd qualifying round of the Europa League with the Israeli team Maccabi Petah Tikva). “This is a team that is in the first Israeli league for the second year in a row, has won the Cup, and this shows its quality,” said the Braga coach.
Reinforcements Robson Bambu (ex-Arroca), Helguera (ex-Nacional Montevideo) and Joao Marques (ex-Estoril) were present this Friday. Andre Horta, who was loaned out in January and won the Conference League with Olympiacos, was also present at the meeting. Niakate, Serdar, Joe Mendez and Banza will start on the 26th.
