Civil Protection will conduct a Hazardous Materials Rail Accident Simulation this Saturday, March 4, in Azambuja.
The exercise, called “Trainex’23”, will take place on the Northern Line, next to the GSE warehouses, in Vila Nova da Rainha, and will involve local and regional civil protection forces, especially from 15:00 to 18:00.
As part of “Civil Protection Week”, these exercises will cover several areas of protection and relief operations, and will also activate the municipal civil protection contingency plan.
In a statement, Civil Protection warned the public about the movement of these funds across the land on Saturday afternoon.
“Civil Protection Week” is an initiative coordinated by the Azambuja Municipal Civil Protection Service in collaboration with the volunteer firefighters of Alcoentre and Azambuja, the Aveiras de Cima delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross and Azambuja and Aveiras de On at the top of the Republican National Guard.
