Rumors of an alien invasion of Hemlock schools have circulated on social media following a report of a student trying to avoid taking a math test, CTV News reported May 18.
The school stressed that they take rumors seriously, but review them carefully.
“We have fully investigated the situation and there is no evidence of any alien activity on our school grounds.”Don Killingback, the school’s superintendent, said.
The student found guilty of spreading false information is reported to have been subjected to disciplinary action. Schoolchildren were also informed about the importance of verifying information before disseminating it.
Let’s remember that the issue of aliens visiting Earth has been exaggerated recently in the United States, and the Pentagon reports that it is seriously addressing it. It was reported that the military department collected 510 reports of unidentified flying objects. However, the US military has yet to find evidence of the existence of aliens.
