The G7 member countries are planning to approve new round of economic sanctions against Russia in the framework of the leaders’ summit in Hiroshima (Japan).
The leaders of Germany, Canada, USA, France, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom and the European Union They are holding a summit in Hiroshima this weekend focused once again on the situation in Ukraine and possible measures to be taken against Russia.
Thus, in statements to the press before the first meeting, a US official has acknowledged that the latest efforts by the G7 are aimed at disrupt Russia’s ability to obtain war materials.
Likewise, the leaders have set themselves the goal Closing loopholes that Russia is exploiting to circumvent sanctionsfurther reduce international dependence on Russian energy and limit Moscow’s access to the international financial system.
Zelenski will travel to Japan to participate in the G7 summit
For his part, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskywill travel to Japan to participate in person in the G7 summit that is being held these days in the city of Hiroshima.
“Very important things will be decided there and, therefore, the presence of our president is something absolutely essential to defend our interests and present clear proposals and arguments about the events that take place in the territory of our country”, explained the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov.
