A shooting this Friday, November 25, resulted in the death and injury of people at two public schools in the city of Aracruz in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo. According to local police, the attacks took place around 10:00 local time, 13:00 Lisbon.
According to what little was released by the authorities, before 12 pm in Brazil and 3 pm in mainland Portugal, men dressed in camouflage military uniforms and covering their faces with hoods broke into two schools and started shooting. It is still impossible to say how many people were killed and who they were.
Delegate (inspector) of the Aracruz Judicial Police Leandro Sperandio said that the entire Aracruz police force is working to catch the killers, conducting searches throughout the region. The head of the local police appealed to the population asking for help in an attempt to identify and detain the attackers, who also, according to preliminary information, fled before the police arrived.
