
More than a hundred people lost in a snowstorm were found alive, the information portal ikon.mn reported on May 20.
The report states that according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 104 people were found alive, the search for 16 people continues.
It is explained that the Emergency Management Organization received a call that eight people in Khentii province, 112 people in Sukhbaatar province and a total of 120 people were missing due to severe weather.
“Furthermore, strong winds tore off the roofs of eight houses and the roofs of two primary schools, and 13 houses in Khentii province and several houses in Sukhbaatar province collapsed.”says the message.
It is reported that due to a snow storm, passenger traffic was limited on the Ulaanbaatar-Khentiy, Dornod and Sukhe-Bator routes.
Remember that yesterday snow fell in the eastern provinces, the wind speed reached 18-20 m/s, in some areas of Khenti and Sukhbaatar provinces the wind speed reached 28-30 m/s.
