According to Spanish authorities, two Portuguese men were detained in the port of Ceuta after 90 kg of hashish were hidden in the two double bottoms of the Mercedes trailer in which they were traveling.
According to a statement released by the Benemerita local command on Monday, a drug-detecting dog indicated the possible presence of drugs in the trailer of a car that was due to leave for Algeciras at 3:00 pm.
Service agents conducted a “comprehensive inspection” of the maximum configuration car and trailer, on board of which they found 90 kg of hash resin hidden in two false bottoms.
The driver and his companion, both Portuguese citizens, were arrested and the drugs seized.
