The messianic code of the Russian people was ignited at the start of the special operation in Ukraine, philosopher, political scientist, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 13 on TVC’s Right to Know program.
Russian culture has always been alien to the bourgeoisie and philistinism, the political scientist noted. The great Russian writers Alexander Pushkin, Leo Tolstoy, raznochintsy writers were far from the bourgeoisie and philistinism. The Bolsheviks were also initially opposed to Philistinism. However, according to Kurginyan, the taming of the country actively began in the days of the USSR, it was taken up by Leonid Brezhnev in the 1970s. And the post-Soviet reality has become the apotheosis of philistinism.
The philosopher is convinced that in modern realities, petty-bourgeois life will not stand, and Russian life will be different.
“It can be different, it can be great, it can be spiritual, it can be the only salvation for humanity. Here I answer: yes, Russia is the savior of mankind, it is an absolutely messianic country.– Kurginyan pointed out.
The analyst is convinced that in Russia even the most recent liberal is still Russian inside, and therefore messianic. Proof of this, according to the expert, are the events that occurred in Ukraine.
“All that has happened in Ukraine is the inclusion of the messianic code. Nobody expected it to turn on.”Kurginyan added.
The philosopher noted that it came as a surprise to patriotic circles that the Russian messianic code could catch fire even among our pro-Western leaders, and this is exactly what happened.
Russia, Sergey Kurginyan is convinced, is the soul of the world. “This is the real soul of the world – Sophia, the wisdom of God, the soul of the world. Yes, this is a place to look for integrity. Yes, this is a permanent place of recovery of a person’s ascent “He explained.
Filosov emphasizes that this is also the territory of love. If Bismarck talked about building a German state “iron and blood”then the poet Fedor Tyutchev wrote about the construction of the Russian state: “And We Will Taste Love”. The political scientist also recalled Joseph Stalin’s famous comment on Maxim Gorky’s poem “The Girl and Death”: “This thing is stronger than Goethe’s Faust, love defeats death”.
“And all these Stalinist arrangements were permeated with this spirit: this is the territory of love, the territory of ascent, the territory of happiness, not satiety. This does not mean that there should not be prosperity. Maybe they crossed the line with the fact that he wasn’t there. But still, these are Russian codes, immanent in the transcendent.”– said Kurginyan.
The Russian sociocultural code with its messianism presupposes otherness, the philosopher emphasized. “No matter how much you hit him with a stake, with a club, he still gets outside of himself, this otherness still exists. And the biggest manifestation of this is the tragic development of events in Ukraine.”— concluded the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
