A 52-year-old woman arrested by the judicial police for leading a youth robbery gang in Porto will face trial under house arrest but will go to prison until the installation of electronic surveillance devices is completed.
The woman led a youth gang that, using threats and intimidation, stole barrels of beer, money and other drinks from delivery trucks.
The head and each of the elements of the network had very well-defined functions. The fact that they were born in Ribeira and knew the area of Porto helped the group, which has always worked well together, to bring the vision to life.
The stolen goods, worth tens of thousands of euros, were then sold at lower prices to other establishments in the area.
