“Victim of the pursuit of infinite beauty.” This is the description of Brazilian journalist and model Ligia Fazio, who died Wednesday at the age of 40 from a stroke after several health complications related to secret aesthetic procedures she performed.
Ligia Fazio was followed by more than 900,000 people on the social network Instagram, where she shared her daily activities with those who followed her. A sculpted body and a connoisseur of aesthetic procedures, Lygia described self-care as “a set of attitudes aimed at improving the quality of life.”
After the tragic death of Lygia, the life of a woman aroused curiosity. According to globeLigia Fazio was the muse of the Coritiba football club and the highlight of the Academicos do Grande Rio samba school. She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and was also a model.
But Lygia’s journey is connected not only with the world of beauty. The woman tried her hand at politics when she ran for statehood in São Paulo for the Progressive Party (PP) in the 2022 elections.
Ligia Fazio had two sons, Davi, 11 years old, and Thor, who will turn two on June 25.
The journalist has been hospitalized since April due to health complications that began when Ligia applied industrial silicone and PMMA, a plastic component, to her butt. As a result, the product spread throughout the body, causing several infections.
As a result, the model could not stand the stroke. Ligia Fazio’s funeral took place this Thursday in Taboão da Serra, Sao Paulo State, Brazil.
