The National Teachers’ Federation (FENPROF) this Sunday blamed the government for the teachers’ strike, citing the government’s and others’ “outflow of investment” in public schools as the reason for the stoppage.
FENPROF also accuses Antonio Costa’s government of allowing “the end of the school year to come to the end of the school year without responding to the problems at the heart of the struggle of the teachers”, while blaming Minister Joao Costa and the ministerial team of “cases of disability”.
Thus, in its statement, FENPROF responds to the statements of the Minister in charge, João Costa, who on Saturday in Torres Vedras said that the strikes of teachers during the national examinations and final assessments call into question the public school.
