This Sunday, a man died in a collision between two cars on Estrada Nacional (EN) 120-1, near Sines, in the Setúbal region, a civil protection source told Lusa.
A source from the Alentejo-Littoral Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command said the warning was issued at around 2:58 p.m. involving two cars.
The accident killed one person, “a man in his 40s”, whose body was taken to the mortuary of the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Hospital Litoral Alentejano (HLA) in Santiago do Casem, he said.
According to the same source, the crash also resulted in “two minor injuries” taken to the HLA.
Following an accident warning, traffic on the EN120-1 section where the collision occurred was stopped for traffic in both directions until “around 5:40 pm”.
