The Kremlin denied an alleged speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was broadcast this Monday by Russian radio stations in the Rostov, Belgorod and Voronezh regions that border Ukraine. According to Russian news agencies cited by Reuters, the speech is false and is the result of software piracy.
“All these reports are complete lies,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
According to Reuters, independent Russian media reported that the president’s speech informed residents of those regions that Ukrainian troops had crossed the border into Russia and that, since martial law had been declared in the border areas, the population should leave the region and head towards the Russian Village.
In a Telegram post, the Vorozhzh government confirmed that local radio stations have been computer attacked but are already under the control of local authorities.
Kyiv denies sending troops to Russian territory.
