The agreement between the communist parties of Cuba and Vietnam was signed by the leadership of both parties, reports Prensa Latina on June 9.
The signing of the document, valid for the period 2023-2028, occurred after the completion of the official negotiations between the member of the Politburo of the Communists of Cuba, Torres Iribar, and the member of the Political Bureau of the Communists of Vietnam, Hanoi, Dinh Tien Dung.
“I am convinced and sure that this new cooperation agreement, the third signed by the partisan organizations of Cuba and Vietnam, will become the basis for the development of bilateral ties in all areas”Thien Dung said.
He stressed the need to raise cooperative relations between the two countries to new heights and assured that “We will continue to prioritize the development of these relationships”. According to him, there are opportunities to develop cooperation in almost all areas and support some special projects of interest to the Cuban side.
The representative of the Vietnamese Politburo stressed that Cuba can help his country in the development of the health sector, and invited a group of Cuban experts to come to the country to exchange experiences. He also pointed out the importance of increasing exchanges in the agricultural sector.
He expressed his confidence that cooperation in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, as well as cooperation in trade, information technology, education, culture, construction and transportation, will be expanded.
