A working meeting on the construction of the North-South road corridor through the territory of Armenia was held with specialists from the Deputy Executive Director of the Fund of the Department of Highways of Armenia, Narek Zulalyan, and the head of the construction of the section Sisian-Kajaran Tranche-4 of the investment program of the Artur Sanoyan North-South Road Corridor, on June 9, reported the press service of the Road Department Foundation.
Zulalyan and Sanoyan met with Asian Development Bank Senior Transport Specialist Thomas Hertz, Program Analyst Nina Avetisyan and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Chief Infrastructure Banker Andrey Maksimovich.
The fund explained that the details of the program for the construction of the North-South highway on the Sisian-Kajaran section were discussed at the meeting. The parties discussed the issues of procurement and the strategy for the implementation of the program.
Recall that it is planned to build a highway with a length of about 60 km on the Sisian-Kajaran section. This section will have 27 bridges and 9 tunnels. The total length of the tunnels will be 12.5 km.
