KP reported that due to a strike organized by organizations representing workers, train disruptions across the country are expected on Wednesday, with possible impact on the days before and after the shutdown.
In a statement released on Tuesday, CP adds that “minimum services that can be consulted” have been defined on the company’s website and that “customers who have already purchased tickets for Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, Internacional, InterRegional and Regional flights, a refund in the amount of the full amount of the purchased ticket or its free re-checking for another train of the same category and the same class is allowed.
“A refund or re-check can be made in myCP in the “Your Tickets” section (for tickets purchased in the “online” box office and in the CP application) no later than 30 minutes before the departure of the train from the client’s station of departure, as well as in at the box office and, in case of a refund, at cp.pt by filling out the “online” form, sending a scan of the original ticket with name, postal address, IBAN and NIF, within 10 days after the end of the strike”, indicates the CP.
On Wednesday, CP workers are on strike for 24 hours, along with workers from Infraestruturas de Portugal, demanding a financial bonus to mitigate inflation and uphold the Agreement with the company.
According to a report posted on the website of the General Directorate of Employment and Labor Relations (DGERT), the trade unions and the CP have reached an agreement on the performance of a minimum service of 25%.
