The ceremony was also attended by Honduran Foreign Minister Enrique Reina. Warmly congratulating the opening of the Honduran embassy in Beijing, Qin said the establishment of diplomatic relations based on the “one China” principle has ushered in a new era in China-Honduran relations.
Noting that bilateral relations have gotten off to a good start in the past two months, Qin said the rapid development of bilateral relations has fully demonstrated that sticking to the “one China” principle is recognized by the international community and reflects the spirit of the times. and the aspirations of the peoples, and serves the fundamental interests of the two countries and the two peoples.
Echoing Qin’s words, Reina said that the establishment of diplomatic relations with China ushers in a new era in Honduras’ relations with the world and gives Honduras a chance to become a great and prosperous country.
The Honduran side will firmly adhere to the “one China” principle and believes that bilateral relations will continue to strengthen and bring fruitful results to the benefit of the two peoples, he added.
