The “Gryphon” program on the history of Sevastopol was shown for the first time to pupils of the “Artek” children’s center on June 11, citing the host director of the production, Natalia Slepchenko, TASS reported.
The manager said: “The griffin is the hallmark of Chersonese. We opened the fifth season with the fact that the residents of Artek began to watch our performance. We did a series of shows for Artek, the children were very sincere and emotional with this story.”.
The multimedia performance tells about the historical plots of the Crimea. The show shows Scythian raids, the baptism of Rus, scenes from various wars, including episodes of the defense of Sevastopol in the 19th and 20th centuries.
It should be remembered that the children’s center “Korsun” was opened earlier, which is the first part of the project of the historical and archaeological park “Tauric Chersonesos”. Seeing the show is included in the program of visiting Chersonese with children.
We also remember that the mythical creature griffin is a symbol of Chersonese. The production was created based on the play by Metropolitan Tikhon (Shevkunov) “Griffin”.
