Patroquinio Azevedo is in custody as part of Operation Babylon, as determined by the Porto Court of Inquiry in criminal cases announced on May 19.
Despite being in custody, Patrosinio Azevedo did not immediately resign from his mandate.
This core process of Operation Babylon focuses on “violating the rules and regulations of city licensing processes in favor of promoters associated with projects of high density and scale, involving real estate interests in the order of 300 million euros, through the offer and acceptance of monetary rewards. compensation.”
The mayor of Gaia, Eduardo Vitor Rodriguez, announced on May 22, also at a meeting of the municipal executive, that now the post of vice president will be provided by adviser Marina Mendez, responsible for the areas of education and social action.
