Raimondo recalled the major advances in technology cooperation between India and the United States this year. So, in March, he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with his Indian colleague Piyush Goyal. The document refers to the creation of semiconductor supply chains.
The creation of a working group that will promote innovation and job creation, especially in the new technologies sector, was also announced.
In addition, work is underway on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF), which includes India. In May, the United States announced that it had signed an international supply chain agreement, the first of its kind, with the participants in the initiative.
