Johnny Depp will donate the entire amount of compensation received in court against his ex-wife Amber Heard. The case ended with a court decision in favor of Depp, obliging the actress to pay compensation in the amount of $ 1 million (about 920 thousand euros).
According to CNN Internationalthe actor will divide the amount of compensation into five parts and must donate about 200 thousand dollars (about 184 thousand euros) to each of the following non-profit organizations:Make-A-Film Foundation, Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Tetiaroa Society, and Amazon Foundation Alliance.
The Painted Turtle and The Teriaroa Society, according to TMZ, institutions dedicated to Paul Newman and Marlon Brando, the heroes of Depp’s life. The actor chose these establishments in order to continue the work of his heroes. Make-a-Film operates in a similar fashion to Make-a-Wish, but fulfills the wishes of children with serious illnesses to participate in cinematic productions with important personalities in the film world. Red Feather and the Amazon Foundation Alliance are committed to indigenous peoples to help keep their culture and heritage intact throughout the Americas.
