Job offers fell in the first quarter of the year to 3.0% in the euro area and 2.8% in the European Union compared to the same period last year, Eurostat said this Thursday.
According to the European Statistical Office, the vacancy rate in the euro area fell to 3.0% in the first three months of the year, compared to 3.1% in the previous quarter and the same year.
In the EU, the rate remained at 2.8% qoq, but retreated from 2.9% in the first three months of 2022.
Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria (4.7% each) have the highest vacancy rates, while Bulgaria, Spain, Poland and Romania have the lowest (0.9% each).
In Portugal, the rate fell to 1.3% between January and March, compared to 1.5% year-on-year, remaining stable compared to chains.
