The Teachers’ Union Structures Platform estimates that the teachers’ strike has prevented the Year 2 assessment test from being held in more than 600 schools, and that the situation will repeat itself on Tuesday.
The Portuguese language assessment test, designed to assess the knowledge of 2nd year students, was not administered in “more than 600 schools, given the significant number of groups that did not take the test in all their schools and many others in which it did only in some”, puts forward this Monday the platform of nine teachers’ union structures calling for a strike.
The platform believes that the strike should also affect the Cycle 1 measurement test, scheduled for Tuesday, and that there are “thousands of tests yet to be completed.”
