The submersible is owned by OceanGate Expeditions, which has guaranteed that it will “mobilize all means” to rescue the crew. The submarine is said to be carrying a pilot, a “content specialist” and three paying passengers, one of whom will be British millionaire Hamish Harding, CEO of an aviation company in Dubai. The cost of the eight-day expedition is 230,000 euros per person, and the dive to the wreck of the Titanic at a depth of 3800 meters lasts about eight hours.
It is not known exactly what went wrong, as is the exact location of the submarine.
