Who is on board the submarine that went missing while visiting the Titanic?

A submarine with five people on board went missing while visiting the wreck of the Titanic this Sunday at the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean, about 600 kilometers southeast of Canada.

Among the passengers of the submarine Titan is Hamish Harding, British multimillionaire and chairman of aviation company Action Aviation. Before embarking on the experience, he made a social media post saying he was proud to visit the Titanic as a “mission specialist”.

Harding also participated in the One More Orbit flight, which in 2019 broke the record for the fastest circumnavigation by aircraft, taking 46 hours, 40 minutes and 22 seconds.

Also missing are Shahzada Daoud and son Suleman. Shahzada is the vice president of Engro Corporation, one of Pakistan’s largest companies, which trades in fertilizers.

Confirmation that they were on board the submarine was given by the family.

French explorer Paul Henri Narjolet, 77 years old, another occupant of this OceanGate submersible. Nargeoleth is also director of underwater research for the company that owns the rights to the wreck of the Titanic.

After leaving the navy, Paul-Henri Nargeolle led the first expedition to search for the Titanic in 1987.

In a radio interview france Blue, addressed the dangers of deep diving and said, “I’m not afraid to die.”

Among the Titanic’s crew is Stockton Rush, founder and CEO of OceanGate, the company that led the Titanic expedition.

According to the OceanGate website, Rush became “the world’s youngest jet pilot” when he completed a captain’s course at the United Airlines Jet Training Institute in 1981 at the age of 19.

OceanGate, headquartered in Everett, Washington, USA, is visiting the wreck of the Titanic. The company has successfully completed more than 14 expeditions and more than 200 dives in the Pacific, Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.

This expedition cost 230,000 euros per person, and the duration of the wreck dive was estimated at eight hours.
