The woman died of a heart attack last Tuesday at the call center where she worked in Madrid, Spain. Colleagues at work were forced to continue serving with a dead colleague next door. The company denies the allegations.

According to the union, only a few workers on an individual basis have been ordered to continue answering the calls. There were operators who got up from their jobs and left unhealthy, others continued “by inertia”, accustomed to an automated work system in which the instinctive option is to continue answering calls.
The woman worked at the Spanish multinational call center Konecta for about 15 years and the cause of the heart attack is unknown.
In accordance with a country, a spokesman for the company denied that anyone was “forced to work next to the corpse.” He adds that the company is focused on helping the relatives of the deceased, “suffering because of the noise in the media.”
