The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation announced this Wednesday the inclusion of 48 Australian politicians, businessmen and journalists in the sanctions list for anti-Russian stance.
“For an indefinite period, 48 businessmen from the military-industrial complex, journalists and deputies who follow [na Austrália] anti-Russian agenda,” the ministry said in a statement.
The text also stated that this measure was taken “in response to politically motivated sanctions against legal entities and individuals by the Australian government, imposed as part of the Russophobic campaign of the West.”
Among those sanctioned are the directors of Thales Australia, SYPAQ and Nuix.
Last week, Moscow condemned Australia’s decision to block the construction of a new Russian embassy in Canberra, which was supposed to be 100 meters from parliament.
