Two tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, owners of Twitter and Meta respectively, have agreed to fight in the ring.
The Tesla Motors chief executive posted a message on his social networking site Twitter saying he is “ready to fight in the ring” with Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg.
It all started when Musk, the owner of Twitter, responded to a tweet about Meta, which is allegedly preparing to launch a Twitter competitor called Threads.
Commenting on the risk of the world being “solely under Zuk’s control, with no other options,” Musk wrote on Tuesday that he is “ready to fight in the ring if he [Zuckerberg] you are lol”.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms, which owns Facebook and Instagram, then responded, apparently agreeing with Musk’s proposal.
“Send me the location,” Zuckerberg wrote late Wednesday in an Instagram post that showed a screenshot of Musk’s tweet along with another user’s response urging the Twitter owner to “start learning.”
Zuckerberg is a mixed martial artist and announced the end of his first jiu-jitsu tournament last month.
In response to Zuckerberg’s location request on Wednesday, Musk suggested the Vegas Octagon and joked about his fighting skills and training regimen, suggesting the fight might not be serious.
“I have a great move I call The Walrus where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing,” Musk wrote.
