Joint Russian-Chinese air patrols are designed to contain the United States in the Asia-Pacific region, writes the Global Times newspaper on November 30.
Earlier, the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force conducted joint air patrols over the Japan and East China seas, as well as the western part of the Pacific Ocean, for the second time.
PLA H-6K bombers (an authorized copy of the Soviet Tu-16s), as well as Russian Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers and Su-30SM and Su-35S fighters, took part in the patrol.
According to experts, the exercises of the two countries will contribute to peace and stability in the region, as the United States is increasingly trying to implement the Ukrainian scenario in the Asia-Pacific region, in particular, in places like Taiwan, the South China Sea and the Korean Peninsula.
