IPMA has placed Faro, Lisbon and Leiria under yellow alert until 23:00 this Thursday due to winds that will be northwesterly and occasionally strong, gusting up to 75 kilometers per hour (km/h). hour). In Santarem, the notice is valid until 18:00.
The yellow warning is also active for Faro, until early Friday afternoon, but due to the continued high maximum temperatures.
For the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo, the IPMA activated a yellow warning due to heat until the end of the day.
IPMA predicts a drop in temperature this Thursday, especially a maximum, and strong winds on the west coast and in the highlands with gusts up to 75/80 km/h.
Skies will be partly cloudy to clear, with periods of greater cloudiness in the far north, with patches of morning mist or mist to the north and center.
In continental Portugal, the maximum temperature will vary from 23º in Aveiro to 38º in Faro, and the minimum from 15º in Bragança, Braga and Guarda and 22º in Faro.
In Madeira, the maximum temperature will reach 29º in Funchal, while the minimum will drop to 18º in Santa Cruz das Flores, where rain is forecast.
