The fire that destroyed on Tuesday part of the premises of the JP Vieira Andrade woodworking factory in the industrial area of Rebordos, the municipality of Paredes (Porto), was extinguished, no one was injured.
The fire was extinguished at 8:53 a.m., with no casualties reported and no homes threatened, according to a source from the Porto Metropolitan Region Sub-Regional Command.
Flames broke out on some pallets near the JP Vieira Andrade woodworking factory, located opposite the furniture company Antarte, where there was no damage, a source in the sub-regional office of the metropolitan area of Porto explained.
A fire broke out in an industrial area, 27 operators and 10 pieces of equipment fought the fire. Operatives were still on site at 09:00 to record property damage.
The alarm was received by the civil protection service at 06:49.
