Vladimir Putin assured on Tuesday during the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization that “the Russian people are more united than ever.”
The head of state recalled that “the entire Russian society has united in the front against an attempted armed rebellion” by the Wagner mercenary group.
Putin thanked “colleagues from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization who expressed support for the actions of the Russian authorities aimed at protecting the constitutional order, the life and security of citizens.”
“Thank you very much,” he said.
“Russia will definitely resist and will resist external pressure, sanctions and provocations,” Putin said, thanking the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization that expressed support for Moscow during the Wagner paramilitary rebellion in late June.
