The carousel was stopped for more than three hours with seven children and one adult stuck upside down this Sunday at the Forest County Festival in Wisconsin, USA.
A video posted on social media shows the moment.
Local emergency medical services, firefighters and police from three different counties arrived on the scene to help eight people.
“All we know is that there was a mechanical failure in the carousel and it was stuck in an upright position,” says Brennan Cook, Crandon Fire Department Captain.
Kathy Declark, mother of one of seven children, explained to the TV channel WISN 12 the sorrow with which he lived those three hours. “It was very hard to hear my son yell at me and not be able to help him,” he admitted.
As a precaution, all passengers were taken to the hospital, no one was injured.
