The Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE) has so far confiscated 21 tickets and arrested six people “for the practice of profiteering in the sale of festival tickets,” the security agency said Thursday.
The operation, led by ASAE’s National Information and Criminal Investigation Unit, confirmed that the tickets seized for the festival, which starts this Thursday at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, were advertised on social media “at prices far in excess of their real face value, or even without face value.” sold at a speculative net profit”, which ranged from 16 to 140 euros per ticket.
According to the ASAP, five criminal cases were initiated, six people were detained, who were subjected to “a measure to establish their identity and place of residence with notification of their appearance in court.”
In one of these cases, according to the ASAE, “the application of a temporary stay of proceedings and conviction with a suspended sentence of five months’ imprisonment and the payment of an injunction of 375 euros” has already been accepted.
The ASAE also warns that “selling tickets above their official value constitutes a speculative offense punishable by six months to three years in prison.”
The Nos Alive Festival kicks off this Thursday at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés in Oeiras, where it will run until Saturday with more than a hundred artists.
The highlight of the first day will be the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Black Keys, who will perform on the main stage, where Puscifer and The Driver Era will also perform.
Jacob Collier, Men I Trust, Spoon, Ibibio Sound Machine, Nídia, Throes + The Shine, Homem em Catarse, Club Makumba, Ana Lua Caiano and Beatriz Felício are among the artists and bands that will perform in front of the expected thousands of spectators. .
Because of the festival, Câmara de Oeiras has announced a traffic restriction on the access roads and around the Passeio Marítimo de Algés.
During all days of the festival, from 23:30 to 05:00 the next morning, traffic on CRIL / IC17 on the descending route between the Miraflores junction and the roundabout next to Avenida Brasilia is interrupted.
“Traffic restrictions” are also expected from Thursday to Saturday from 15:00 on Avenida Brasília and Avenida Marginal, between Alges and Alto da Boa Viage, on the CRIL/IC17 viaduct in Alges and on D. Manuel I Square.
As an alternative, the Chamber of Oeiras suggests “privileging the A5, N117/Belem and N6-3 Alto da Boa Viagem”.
