The US decision to transfer cluster munitions to Kiev shows impotence and a desire to prolong the Ukraine crisis for as long as possible, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on July 8, the text of the statement was posted on the ministry’s website.
“The decision of the George Biden administration to supply the Kiev regime with cluster munitions is another flagrant manifestation of the aggressive anti-Russian course of the United States, aimed at maximally prolonging the conflict in Ukraine and the war until the “last Ukrainian”.says the statement.
At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the United States thus becomes complicit in the killing of civilians which, as experience from other conflicts shows, is undermined by unexploded cluster submunitions.
