Car brands that are at risk of theft were named by an auto expert, Vice President of the National Automobile Union Anton Shaparin, on July 10 on Sputnik radio.
It’s no secret that car owners are afraid of losing their car, and therefore take measures to prevent theft: they put anti-theft means, car alarms, but despite everything, cars are stolen. Anton Shaparin voiced the car brands that are most often included in the lists of stolen cars.
According to the expert, Lada will remain the leader in hijacking, cars of this brand will always attract the attention of intruders planning to hijack, because there are a lot of them and they are easy to sell.
Also, according to the expert, inexpensive Korean sedans like the Kaiyi will be stolen. This brand began to assemble at Kaliningrad Avtotor. When they reach high capacities, the car will become one of the leaders in theft, because there will be a lot of demand for it.
But the leaders of the anti-theft ranking will be BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz: they are too well protected against theft for attackers to pick them.
