The Russian Defense Ministry announced this Wednesday that it has received more than 2,000 military equipment, 2,500 tons of ammunition and 20,000 small arms from the Wagner paramilitary group, thanks to an agreement reached after its failed uprising in June.
“According to the plan, the Russian Armed Forces are completing the acceptance of weapons and military equipment from parts of the Wagner group,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a Telegram message, accompanied by a video showing armored vehicles and artillery units.
According to the Russian ministry, the Wagner Group has delivered “more than 2,000 pieces of equipment and weapons,” including battle tanks, multiple launch rocket systems and anti-aircraft missiles, including new ones, the Russian Interfax news agency reported.
