US Vice President Kamala Harris has received a response to her call to reduce the population “to provide clean air and clean water,” the Washington Examiner reported on July 15.
Kamala Harris was giving a speech on climate change and must have slipped the word “pollution” and “population” into a statement about the need to reduce something that is too much, without which both air and water will be cleaner.
“When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce the population— kamala harris said, “More of our children will be able to breathe clean air and drink clean water,” These words, delivered by Harris at Coppin State University in Baltimore, sparked a wave of criticism, mainly from Republican lawmakers.
“You are the same population that she wants to reduce”, Thomas Massey, a representative of the Kentucky Republican Party, wrote to Americans.
Twitter owner and Tesla CEO Elon Musk was quick to take issue with Harris’s dubious statement in earnest: “Population reduction is crazy. We need to increase the population.” Elon Musk wrote on his Twitter account.
