The President of the Republic will meet with the Council of State on Friday at 15:00 to discuss the economic, social and political situation in the country, after hearing the parties that won seats in Parliament between Friday and Monday.
This meeting of the Council of State, which, as Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has already indicated, will take place after Thursday’s parliamentary debate on the state of the nation, was officially published today in a note on the official website of the President of the Republic on the Internet. .
“The President of the Republic meets with the Council of State on July 21 at 15:00 in Belen Palace. The meeting will consider an analysis of the economic, social and political situation in Portugal.
Last week, the head of state admitted that he brought the topic of the parliamentary committee to investigate political guardianship over the management of the TAR to this meeting of his political advisory body: “I will read the report on this topic too, if I have something to say, I will first inform the State Council.”
“And after reporting to the State Council, depending on what I say or not say to the State Council, I say it publicly,” the President of the Republic added.
