The Dagestan authorities are organizing an inventory of emergency schools for major repairs, the press service of the administration of the head of the republic reported on July 24.
Dagestan residents have repeatedly complained about the state of general education school buildings: many are in need of major repairs. The authorities decided to make an inventory of these buildings to prioritize construction by 2024.
“There are schools that are so emergency that it is dangerous to go there. Next year it is necessary to provide for work on such objects. An inventory of all emergency schools is necessary to determine their status and scope of work. And after all, it is necessary to openly state why we are repairing this school in the first place, and the rest in the second and third.”– said the head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov.
The work must be finished by December 1, those responsible are the Ministry of Education and Science and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic.
Recall that in 2023 in Dagestan it was planned to design 65 buildings where schools will be located, as well as to reform 139 existing institutions.
