Leopold Mercer, 4, has died after a cement pole fell on his head while he was playing in the garden of his home in Hanbury, UK. The tragedy occurred on September 18 this year, according to a British newspaper. Daily mail.
When they realized the accident, Leopold’s parents immediately called for help. Rescuers spent 42 minutes trying to save the child. Despite attempts at resuscitation, the boy could not withstand the impact caused by the weight of the pole and died at the scene. An autopsy showed that the cause of death was head and neck injuries.
According to data compiled by a British newspaper, the boy played with a friend until the pole broke and killed the boy. The second child received minor injuries.
“My heart will forever be broken. Life is so unfair that no one can be sure that they will live to see tomorrow, ”the boy’s mother writes on social networks.
