China will continue to strengthen dialogue and communication with all parties and contribute to the political settlement of the Ukraine crisis, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying said.
The spokeswoman made the comment when asked for more information about the participation of the Chinese government’s special representative for Eurasian Affairs, Li Hui, in a meeting in Jeddah on the Ukraine issue over the weekend.
The spokeswoman said Lee traveled to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on August 5 to attend a meeting on the Ukraine issue. Li clearly explained China’s position and proposals, she listened to the opinions and advice of various parties. According to the spokesperson, the participants in the meeting recognized China’s positive role in advancing the peace talks.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said China will continue to expand dialogue and communication with all parties and promote a political solution to the Ukraine crisis.
