On Tuesday afternoon, PSP Aveiro presented a security and contingency plan for watching the Super Cup match at the municipal stadium between FC Porto and Benfica. The match is sold out, over 30,000 fans are expected, and for this reason, PSP has provided a strong security device.
Fans will be searched upon entering the stadium to prevent the entry of prohibited items or substances, as well as banners with racist, xenophobic or hate speech.
It is planned to use buses (shuttles) between the car parks outside the perimeter and the stadium to avoid the pressure of fans’ cars parked next to the equipment. Vehicles will have priority on the route.
Authorities are asking fans who have tickets to arrive at the stadium early. The PSP also asks that those who do not have a ticket do not visit the venue of the sporting event.
