The tourist train “Ritsa” will start running on the route Sochi – Rosa Khutor – Gagra – Sukhum – Sochi – Airport on September 10. Three test trips are planned before the end of the year. The launch of regular flights is scheduled for 2024.
The train will make stops at Gagra and Sukhum on its way. The parking time will be one day, so that passengers have time to visit the places of interest in the cities.
“The border is crossed in 20 minutes on the Russian side and about the same on the Abkhazian side. At the same time, the border crossing is carried out in comfortable conditions. People sit in their carriages under the air conditioning, there is no need to go anywhere.”– said the chief engineer of the Abkhaz railway Leonid Kurua.
