FC Porto made its debut this Monday with a 2-1 win over Moreirense in the 2023/24 Portuguese Football League season, in a match that put it at a disadvantage.
In Moreira de Conegos, Frimpong gave the last II League champions the lead in the 51st minute, but the Dragons turned the tide with goals from Tony Martinez (67) and Wendell (74) who were sent off 90+2.
Porto became the eighth team to win the first round without a draw, which will culminate on Monday with the visit of the Benfica champions to Boavista.
