PNS elements deployed to prevent forest fires have been reinforced by 30%, the Interior Minister said this Wednesday, saying more than 5,200 PNS soldiers will be on the ground in the next three days.

Deteriorating weather conditions and increased fire hazards have led to increased facilities on the ground, which also have “an additional 920 elements that are located at 230 fixed observation posts,” the minister added in statements to reporters.
