EAEU barriers to mutual trade must be completely removed by abandoning control and inspection companies along the cargo route, Kyrgyz head of government Akylbek Zhaparov said on August 24 at an extraordinary meeting of the Intergovernmental Council Eurasian.
“The mechanism to eliminate barriers should take full advantage of the competence of the Court of the Union with the introduction of liability and sanction tools for violation of internal market rules”– said Zhaparov.
According to the Prime Minister, in order to achieve these objectives, an agreement was signed on the use of shipping seals to track transport in the EAEU. This agreement will eliminate the risks of false transit propagation, he assured.
In addition, Zhaparov explained, to reduce barriers to transport it is necessary to introduce digital technologies, including electronic accompanying documents and multimodal transport.
