Luis Rubiales will step down as president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) tomorrow.
As we progress Cadena Ser, Rubiales told the team he works with that he will announce his resignation this Friday at an extraordinary meeting called by the RFEF.
The head of the body that oversees football in Spain will leave his post after he kissed footballer Jennifer Hermoso and touched his own genitals in the middle of the podiumat a short distance from the figures of the Spanish crown and carrying Athena del Castillo on the shoulders of the Spanish player.
Rubiales even apologized for choosing to kiss striker Jennifer Hermoso on the lips, however the apology was not well received by Spain’s acting prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, who called the gesture “unacceptable”.
